“Thank you! Making the dress was definitely a challenge and I’m really proud that I challenged myself to create something I’ve always had thoughts of but never done before. 

The sessions were amazing. I think you’re a great teacher! I think I may have been a joy to teach, because you were a joy to learn from. It can be hard sometimes for teachers who are good at what they do, and who do things such ‘effortlessly’ to bring themselves back down to the level of being a ‘beginner’ and you did that really well! Breaking down the content into digestible chunks that struck a wonderful balance between gaining insight in the sessions, wanting to go away and learn a little bit more in my own time and still being excited for the next session. 

In sessions I felt incredibly comfortable and not restricted by my lack of skill/knowledge in some areas, even though I was doing something which took me slightly out of my comfort zone.

I think we quickly realised that making a dress was probably never going to be a ‘one and done’ thing for me and your course was a massive part of that. The help you provided on specific parts such as the drawing/designing stage as well as when I was constructing the garment were great and silently reassured me that it is possible for me to make a dress.
